If you are a fan of Twilight, you will fall for the Fallen series instantly. My personal opinion, and others i know who've read the book, is that as soon as you get they book you'll find yourself already finishing the book and geting the next, and dont worry its not the kind of series where "the first two books are good but it just goes downhill" its the kind of series where "I loved those books so much! I'm almost sad that i finished them, they were too good to last for long!" I also think the best way to get your kid to read this is Just read the preview and if you dont like it find a different book, your kid will enjoy the preview (most likely) and will want the rest of the book to read. I thin that if you are looking for a short "Get to the point" boo you shouldn't read this book or any in the series of fallen. the book is great for ages 13 and up even 12 year olds, again IF they are decently mature. I wont say an 11 year old should read unless they are decently matured. The book doesn't have that much romance either, a few kissing scenes but nothing farther. The book teaches life lessons here and there, like first impressions aren't everything, or no matter who you are you make yourself who you are with your actions.

I think that the book not only provides learning for the kid that is reading it its enjoyable. I started reading the book series when i was 12 as a school project we were only required to read the first book but i read them all.
